sharing!It was a great week of learning new techniques, meeting other great trainers to bounce ideas off of, and finding out about new vendors for equipment options. I can’t wait to share my experience with my clients.
I spent several hours each day attending some great seminars. The opening keynote was as motivational as it comes. Sara Carson showed us that with patience, motivation and a passion you can be successful! At only 22 years old, she is known around the world as one of the top trick dog instructors. But it was her back story that makes you listen. She trained her pet rats and a backyard chipmunk because she could…. all before she could drive!!!!
Another speaker of note was Victoria Stilwell. She is probably best known for her TV show “It’s me or the dog”. It was an amazing opportunity to hear about how our dogs learn, with scientific studies to back it.
It was a great opportunity to be with other people from the training industry… trainers, behaviorists, vets, doggie daycares, groomers, vendors, etc. to discuss the future of our industry, but more importantly learn how to better serve my clients!
